The instrument is not a sample-based reproduction of a specific real-world flute. Instead, it is a physically modeled system capable of emulating a wide range of flutes, both western and ethnic, by adjusting the set of available parameters such as bore aperture, pipe dimensions, material characteristics, etc.
By default, the instrument may resemble a concert flute, but it can also be configured to behave like a recorder, an irish whistle, or a hybrid sound with no exact acoustic counterpart. This flexibility allows for customization not available in fixed-sample libraries.
